Please Return Palm Branches for the Burning of the Palms

As we prepare for Ash Wednesday, we invite you to bring any palm leaves or branches from last year’s Palm Sunday to be burned for ashes. Join us on Tuesday, March 4, for the Burning of the Palms at 5:30 PM in the Courtyard.

The tradition of burning palms dates back centuries and connects us to the cycle of our faith. The same branches that we waved in joy on Palm Sunday are transformed into ashes, reminding us of our mortality and the call to repentance as we begin Lent. These ashes will be used during our Ash Wednesday services the following day.
